Apache Point Observatory (APO) is managed by the Astrophysical Research Consortium, and strives to do cutting edge science and train the next generation of students. Four telescopes are located at the site in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico: the ARC 3.5m telescope, the Sloan Foundation 2.5m telescope the [ New Mexico State University 1m telescope, and the ARCSAT 0.5m telescope. Each telescope has its own unique capabilities.
Through our webpages, you can find information about visiting the site, local weather, our telescope and their instruments, and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, among other things. Information here is available both for the general public as well as for users of the facilities.
